Maximize Your Benefits 2008 Fair
Overview, Location & Hours
The 3rd annual HSS Maximize Your Benefits fair is open to all active employees, retirees and dependents who are participating members in an HSS administered health plan.
Members must present a valid medical ID card to take advantage of free flu shots and health screenings.
The fair will take place at the Hotel Whitcomb (formerly The Ramada) located at 1231 Market Street, San Francisco.
Fair hours are 10am to 5pm on October 21 and 22, 2008.

Free Flu Shots
The HSS Fair will again offer free flu shots, available to all members, administered by Kaiser medical staff. To get a flu shot at the fair, HSS members must present a valid medical ID card and pass screening criteria.
Every year between 5-20% of the US population gets the flu and about 200,000 people require hospitalization. According to the federal Center for Disease Control, "The single best way to protect against the flu is to get vaccinated." Learn more about flu shots.
Please note the flu shots at the HSS fair are for adults only; these flu shots are not suitable for children. Flu shots and health screenings may not be available to all attendees due to supply and staffing limitations. To help us anticipate demand and plan staffing for these popular exhibits, please complete this short online survey.
Free Health Screenings
Members can once again participate in a mezzanine Health Walk that will offer blood pressure, body mass, blood sugar and cholesterol testing.
Hearing assessments, DermaScan skin evaluations and a Meet With A Doctor table will also be available.
Chair Massages, Healthy Snacks & Prizes!
Enjoy a relaxing, free chair massage. Participate in Qi Gong, ballroom dance and other fitness seminars. Enjoy a healthy snack and learn about nutrition.
In the Retiree Corner, members can talk about retirement with representatives of SFERS, ING and retiree association RECCSF.
